My name is Gisli Jonsson, I have lived and worked for most of my life in Iceland, moving to Northern Ireland to study counseling in 2005.  Since qualifying with an advanced diploma in counseling in 2009 from the UK, I have been working with young and old, walking alongside them, helping them understand whatever the problem is that they are facing, and how to deal with it successfully.

Among the issues I have dealt with in Sofia are sexual abuse, transition, prostitution, domestic violence, relational and marriage crisis and identity issues.

I work with children, individual adults and couples and use the intervention whether it be CBT, Transactional Analysis, Person Centered, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, that works for the client to help them find the resources to walk through their dilemma.

I am a member of BACP (British Association of Counselors and Psychotherapy) and follow their ethical framework and standards.

My name is Nora Jonsson, I am originally from Ireland and have lived in Nepal and the UK for many years before settling in Bulgaria.  I qualified with an advanced diploma in counseling in 2009 from the UK but have been working with young people and adults for 19 years.

"Surely we are all so unique, all born with the need to respond to the truth of who we are, where we have come from, and with what we are born to do and become. Many refuse to grapple with this. Perhaps the greatest challenge, and one we ignore to our peril, is that of finding the very large gift that often resides within our weaknesses or liabilities." Leanne Payne, A Memoir of One Soul's Steep Ascent

I love this quote and believe passionately that we are each unique, that it is essential to our living full lives, to be who we are made to be.  I work with children and adults’ often using a variety of interventions including Gestalt, creative, psychodynamic, person centered, CBT, and transactional analysis to help them understand the client understand who they are, and walk through whatever issue is affecting their lives.  I deal with anxiety, stress, depression, confusion, self-esteem, abuse and anger issues.

I am a member of BACP (British Association of Counselors and Psychotherapy) and CS (Counseling Society) and follow their ethical framework and standards.
